ALERT 97/26 MSCIO has received information regarding an incident at approximately 11:00 UTC on 17 August 2026, approximately 40NM southeast of Al Mukha, Yemen. A cargo vessel reportedly was struck by multiple unknown projectiles. The vessel was unmanned at the time of the incident; however, it reportedly sustained damage resulting in a total constructive loss. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
