UKMTO
UKMTO (United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations) operates a Voluntary Reporting Scheme (VRS) for the Indian Ocean, specifically Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Arabian Sea. UKMTO acts as the primary point of contact for merchant vessels and liaison with military forces in the region, administered by the Maritime Trade Information Centre, MTIC/UKMTO in Dubai (UAE). The area comprises of the UKMTO Voluntary Reporting Area (VRA).
CMF / JMIC
The Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) is a multinational maritime partnership that upholds the International Rules Based Order (IRBO) by countering illicit non-state actors on the high seas and promoting security, stability and prosperity. CMF includes JMIC, Joint Maritime Information Center, established in February 2024 to share accurate and timely information with interested stakeholders relating to the Houthis attacks on Merchant vessels. The JMIC has participation from multiple military stakeholders to fuse open-source unclassified information into an open, truthful, messaging service.
